with the warm Summer days just right around the corner, there’s something about ice cold refreshing homemade ice tea that hits the spot. i gave mine a little fruity spin to spruce it up a bit and finished it with a freshly sliced orange to infuse more bright flavor.

my family looooooves this orange mango ice tea, its gone in just a few hours. lets just say, i’ve been making a lot of orange mango ice tea lately.

its the perfect everyday drink but also serves beautifully in this Glass Dispenser, when having guests for lunch or dinner.

Orange Mango Ice Tea

4 cups cold water

4 regular tea bags

1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar

2 (11.5 fluid ounce) cans Mango Nectar

1 large orange – cut in half, sliced

in tea pot bring water to a boil over high heat. remove from heat. pour into heat safe pourable pitcher, add tea bags and sugar and let steep 3 minutes. squeeze and remove tea bags. stir sugar until dissolved. let cool.

meanwhile: in medium – large pitcher add mango nectar and orange slices. set aside.

pour sweetened tea into the pitcher with the mango nectar and oranges. stir well. refrigerate until chilled. fill glasses with ice and pour orange mango ice tea into each glass.

 

prep time: 8 minutes

Yield: 55 fluid ounces

Serves: 6
